Food Works Classic Oil And Balsamic Dressing On Greens, Feta, An

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, sliced thin, cores removed
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces or 6 cups mixed spring greens
  • 3 mushrooms, sliced thin (optional)
  • 1/4 red onion, sliced thin (optional)
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced into coins (optional)
  • 1/2 cup roasted salted sunflower seeds or 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese or 1/2 cup goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 slice up all vegetables and tear lettuce into small pieces. toss together in a large bowl.
  • 2 top with nuts and cheese.
  • 3 in a small cup, mix the oil and vinegar.
  • 4 dress the salad just before serving by adding 1/2 of the dressing, mixing well, tasting, and adding more if needed.
