Grandma's Casserole

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, sliced into strips
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (3 ounce) can mushrooms
- 2 cups water
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 6 ounces mozzarella cheese
Recipe
- 1 brown meat in skillet, drain off fat.
- 2 saute onions, green pepper, garlic and celery until onions start to look translucent.
- 3 combine the rest of the ingredients.
- 4 simmer for a few minutes.
- 5 spoon a small amount of sauce into 9x13-inch pan.
- 6 top with 8 oz. uncooked egg noodles.
- 7 cover with remaining sauce and top with 6 oz. skim milk mozzarella cheese.
- 8 bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- 9 let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.
