Crusty French Mushroom Rolls

Ingredients

- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- salt
- pepper
- 6 -8 bread rolls, round
Recipe
- 1 simmer mushrooms in 1/4 cup of butter for about 5 minutes.
- 2 melt remaining butter in saucepan and add flour to make a paste.
- 3 add milk, salt and pepper to taste and whisk until sauce is thick.
- 4 add mushroom butter mix to the sauce and cook for a few minutes longer.
- 5 warm bread rolls in the oven. when crisp, slice open and remove the soft centre.
- 6 lightly butter the hollowed out rolls and heat again.
- 7 spoon the mushroom mixture into the rolls and serve.
