Hawaiian Shiitake Shooter

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped shiitake mushroom caps
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth or 1 1/2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. add mushrooms and cook, stirring, until caramelized, 4-5 minutes.
  • 2 add broth, milk, hoisin sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
