Ingredients
- Servings: 2
- 12 ounces linguine
- 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 thick slices ham, trimmed and cut in strips
- 6 ounces button mushrooms, wiped and sliced
- 1 tablespoon coarse grain mustard
- 1/2 pint heavy cream
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 ounce parmesan cheese, in shavings
Recipe
- 1 cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water until just tender. drain and keep hot.
- 2 meanwhile cook onion in oil over a gentle heat until softened, but not brown.
- 3 stir in the ham and mushrooms and cook for two minutes more.
- 4 add mustard and cream.
- 5 season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- 6 toss through the pasta ribbons, coating well.
- 7 serve in four warmed bowls topped with parmesan shavings.
