Fasta Pasta

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 12 ounces linguine
  • 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 thick slices ham, trimmed and cut in strips
  • 6 ounces button mushrooms, wiped and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon coarse grain mustard
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 ounce parmesan cheese, in shavings

Recipe

  • 1 cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water until just tender. drain and keep hot.
  • 2 meanwhile cook onion in oil over a gentle heat until softened, but not brown.
  • 3 stir in the ham and mushrooms and cook for two minutes more.
  • 4 add mustard and cream.
  • 5 season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • 6 toss through the pasta ribbons, coating well.
  • 7 serve in four warmed bowls topped with parmesan shavings.
