Creamy Mushrooms With Roasted Garlic

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb button mushroom, whipped clean and cut into 1/4
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 bulb garlic, roasted and removed from skins and mashed with fork
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leave, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry

Recipe

  • 1 in a large heavy skillet, heat the oil over high heat.
  • 2 add the mushroom quarters.
  • 3 do not move the mushrooms until they have caramelized. when the bottoms are browned, stir them and continue to cook for about 5 minutes.
  • 4 add cream cheese and butter and cook and toss for 5 minutes, until nicly coated.
  • 5 add the rest of ingredients stir for 2 minutes cooking till mushrooms are coated.
  • 6 garnish with fresh thyme leaves.
