Burgundy Beef

Total Time: 3 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 lbs stewing beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 cook bacon.
  • 2 roll meat in flour, salt, pepper, seasoning salt, marjoram and thyme, and brown in oil.
  • 3 add and water and cook until water is evaporated.
  • 4 add the garlic, bouillon, wine and mushrooms and simmer for 2 - 3 hours.
