Fresh Tomato Gravy

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup chopped mushroom
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cups chopped peeled tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2 add mushrooms and onion, and cook 4 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently.
  • 3 add chopped red tomato.
  • 4 bring to a boil, and cook for 10 minutes or until liquid almost evaporates.
  • 5 stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
