Fresh Mushroom Pilaf

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 2/3 cup rice
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir mushrooms, green pepper, and onion until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • 2 stir in water, rice, bouillon, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • 3 bring to boil; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, 14-16 minutes.
