Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix & Chicken Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 cups uncooked long grain rice
  • 6 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/4 cup dried parsley flakes
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup crushed potato chips

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients in a storage container with a tight-fitting lid.
  • 2 yield: 3-1/2 cups.
  • 3 **to prepare rice as a side dish**.
  • 4 combine 2 cups water and 1 tablespoon butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • 5 stir in one cup mix.
