Easy Beef-n-cheese Pie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3/4-1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells, flute edge
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cook beef and onion til done. drain grease.
  • 2 stir in mushrooms and cheese.
  • 3 pour hot mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  • 4 in bowl, combine rest of ingredients.
  • 5 beat til smooth.
  • 6 pour over beef mixture in pie shell.
  • 7 flute edges.
  • 8 bake in 350º oven for 35 minutes til golden brown and puffy.
  • 9 let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  • 10 6-8 servings.
  • 11 cooked, crumbled bacon is a nice addition to this, too.
