Honey Chicken W/ Veggies

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb chicken, cut into small bite size pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup carrot chips
  • 1 (12 ounce) package whole wheat spaghetti

Recipe

  • 1 marinate the chicken in soy sauce and some garlic powder for an hour or two.
  • 2 while waiting for the chicken stir fry the vegetables in the oil with some garlic powder. when cooked through remove from pan and set aside.
  • 3 sautee the chicken until cooked through.
  • 4 add honey and pine nuts.
  • 5 mix water and cornstarch and add to the chicken.
  • 6 stir until sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  • 7 mix in some sesame seeds.
  • 8 add the vegetables back to the pan and mix until all is blended.
  • 9 serve over hot pasta.
