Fried Wontons

Ingredients
- 100 g minced chicken
- 50 g frozen shrimp, thawed
- 4 pieces chinese mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons chestnuts, chopped
- 1 tablespoon spring onion
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons light soya sauce
- salt
- pepper
- 50 -60 square shaped wonton skins
Recipe
- 1 mix all the ingredients for the filling together.
- 2 place the wanton squares on the working surface.
- 3 place one tbsp of the filling in the centre of each wanton skin.
- 4 dip the edges of the wanton skin in water or a beaten egg.
- 5 fold into a triangle.
- 6 press to seal.
- 7 heat oil.
- 8 fry the wrapped wanton until golden (about 2 minutes).
- 9 turn over.
- 10 drain.
- 11 serve hot with chilly sauce or sweet and sour sauce.
