Green Beans With Sherried Mushrooms

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet or a pot, blanch the beans in boiling water until tender-crisp, about five minutes. (you can steam the beans until tender-crisp.) drain and pat dry.
  • 2 heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, saute the mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper until golden.
  • 3 add sherry, cook until evaporated. add beans and butter, cook, stirring until the beans are hot and the butter is melted.
