Green Beans With Sherried Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces button mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 in a skillet or a pot, blanch the beans in boiling water until tender-crisp, about five minutes. (you can steam the beans until tender-crisp.) drain and pat dry.
- 2 heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, saute the mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper until golden.
- 3 add sherry, cook until evaporated. add beans and butter, cook, stirring until the beans are hot and the butter is melted.
