Garden Green Beans

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 cups cut fresh green beans (2-inch pieces)
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil.
  • 2 reduce heat; cover and simmer until crisp-tender.
  • 3 meanwhile, in a skillet, saute mushrooms, onion and garlic in oil until tender.
  • 4 stir in water chestnuts and seasonings; heat through.
  • 5 drain beans and stir into skillet.
  • 6 sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • 7 serve immediately.
