Ingredients

- 4 cups cut fresh green beans (2-inch pieces)
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup sliced water chestnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese
Recipe
- 1 place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil.
- 2 reduce heat; cover and simmer until crisp-tender.
- 3 meanwhile, in a skillet, saute mushrooms, onion and garlic in oil until tender.
- 4 stir in water chestnuts and seasonings; heat through.
- 5 drain beans and stir into skillet.
- 6 sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- 7 serve immediately.
