Chicken With Mushroom Sauce

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 chicken breasts or 8 boneless chicken breasts
  • salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup dry wine
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Recipe

  • 1 season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • 2 heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat; add in chicken and brown on both sides, remove to a plate and keep warm.
  • 3 in the same frypan, saute mushrooms and onions until tender.
  • 4 stir in wine, butter, salt and pepper.
  • 5 in a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water until smooth; add to skillet.
  • 6 bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 mins, or until thickened.
  • 7 return chicken to frypan.
