Granny's Famous Marsetti

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 lbs coarsely ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms (you can use canned)
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans
  • 3 dashes tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • salt (approx. 2 1/2 tsp.)
  • pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
  • chow mein noodles (seriously!)
  • parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 brown beef well, then drain.
  • 3 saute onion in 1 tbs. butter until clear.
  • 4 combine beef, onion, and remaining ingredients in large sauce pan. simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 5 meanwhile, break spaghetti into 2 " pieces and cook according to package directions. drain and put in a roasting pan.
  • 6 pour sauce over spaghetti. mix together and bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes before serving.
  • 7 top with parmesan cheese and chow mein noodles. serve with rye bread (because when you taste it, it will make sense.).
  • 8 enjoy!
