Ginny's Hot Sausage Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
- Servings: 16
- 2 lbs loose hot sausage
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 medium onions, diced
- 2 medium green peppers, diced
- 1 (6 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms
- 1 (26 ounce) jar ragu pasta sauce with meat
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 16 kaiser rolls
Recipe
- 1 fry loose sausage in a large frying pan over medium heat until meat looses its pink.
- 2 drain meat and place in a 2 1/2 quart slow cooker.
- 3 saute peppers and onions in oil until tender.
- 4 add pepper/onion mixture to slow cooker.
- 5 add the remaining ingredients with the exception of the kaiser rolls to the slow cooker.
- 6 stir the ingredients throughly.
- 7 cover and cook on high setting for 1 hour.
- 8 slice the rolls lengthwise.
- 9 spoon the"sloppy joe" mixture on to the bottom half of the roll and top with the remaining half.
