Easy 15-minute Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb round steak, 1/4 inch thick
- 3 ounces broiled sliced mushrooms (undrained)
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Recipe
- 1 trim fat from meat and reserve.
- 2 cut meat diagonally in very thin strips.
- 3 heat fat in skillet until there are 3 tbsp melted fat (may need to add oleo/butter if beef is very lean).
- 4 remove trimmings.
- 5 brown meat.
- 6 add 2/3 cup water and mushrooms.
- 7 stir in soup mix.
- 8 heat to boiling.
- 9 blend sour cream and flour.
- 10 add to hot mixture.
- 11 cook and stir until mixture thickens.
- 12 sauce will be thin.
- 13 serve over rice or noodles.
