Hash Browns Casserole

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 (1 1/2-2 lb) package frozen hash brown potatoes
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
Recipe
- 1 butter a 9x13 baking dish.
- 2 break up frozen hash browns and put into dish.
- 3 in a bowl, mix the sour cream, onion, cheese, soup, salt, pepper and butter or margarine.
- 4 pour the mixture over the potatoes and mix well.
- 5 bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour, or until lightly browned on the top.
- 6 may be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
