Hash Browns Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (1 1/2-2 lb) package frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Recipe

  • 1 butter a 9x13 baking dish.
  • 2 break up frozen hash browns and put into dish.
  • 3 in a bowl, mix the sour cream, onion, cheese, soup, salt, pepper and butter or margarine.
  • 4 pour the mixture over the potatoes and mix well.
  • 5 bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour, or until lightly browned on the top.
  • 6 may be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
