Homemade "spike" Herbal Salt

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sea salt
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon broken dried orange (or tangerine peel)
  • 2 tablespoons crushed dried chinese mushrooms, stems discarded (or 1 tbsp powdered dried mushroom)
  • 2 dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 cup vegetarian broth, powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy powdered milk (or rice)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic granules
  • 2 teaspoons kelp powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon dried savory
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Recipe

  • 1 pulverize in a dry blender sea salt through celery seed.
  • 2 add in the rest of the ingredients and blend well.
  • 3 store in a sealed shaker jar. (if it doesn't have a lid, place plastic wrap over the top and secure with a rubber band.).
