Debbie's Hope You Feel Better Chicken & Noodle Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • butter-flavored cooking spray
  • 4 cups chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water (or chicken broth )
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated, divided

Recipe

  • 1 brown green bell pepper and onions in skillet that has been sprayed with butter spray until tender.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients, reserving 2 ounces of cheese,
  • 3 place mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • 4 bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and lightly browned to your desire.
  • 5 note: this recipe is best when made ahead and then heated to serve.
